Tomorrow is Oscar night and the hubby requested an all hors d'oeuvre menu for our small Oscar viewing get-together. One of the request by the Garcia Foodies was my Baked Brie; so I have added it to the menu, but this time I have decided to put a twist on this family favorite and turn into bite sized delights.
Mini Brie Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 package 15 mini fillo (phyllo) shells
- 4-6 oz. brie cheese (casing removed; to make removing the casing easier, put brie in freezer for a few minutes, it will also make it easier to cut the brie into cubes)
- jar of favorite preserve
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Place mini shells on a baking sheet. Cut brie into 1/2″ cubes and put one in each mini shell. Top each brie filled mini shell with a little of the preserve (almost 1/2 teaspoon). Bake in 350° oven for 7 minutes or until brie has melted. Be careful to keep an eye on it so shells don’t burn.

Those brie bites were sooo good! I think they are my new favorite, it's been 3 days since we made them and I'm still craving those things. I hope this recipe becomes a regular menu item when we have our TB nights again.
Thank you and thanks for your help making them! We should so make a different flavor every Sunday, but after March 30th we may have a new favorite menu! LOL
