JD got daddy a cake!
(red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting)
JD wanted to help daddy serve (eat) the cake
Then on Friday it was finally time for the big surprise I had secretly been planning for a few months now. We dropped JD off with Abu and Aba, and headed towards Los Angeles. Our first stop was at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, where he was cheerfully greeted with a Happy Birthday. We ordered the memorable meal which is a three-course dinner for two, which included a stuffed lobster tail paired with filet mignon, it’s was incredible. After dinner we drove to our next stop (I needed to throw him off the trail a little bit), The Westin Bonaventure and much to his surprise, we checked in. Once we settled in to our fabulous room, I told him I had one more surprise and we hurried downstairs to catch a cab. Our final destination was the Staples Center for the Lakers game (which he kept mentioning the whole time we were at L.A. Live). Once the game was over we caught a cab back to the Westin and had a few drinks at the Bona Vista Revolving Lounge, which has the most breathtaking views of Los Angeles. At that point we were ready to unwind and headed back to our room, for a romantic night just the two of us, a Westin Heavenly Bed and our stunning view of the city.
